This Privacy Policy explains how Growing Portraits LLC (“Growing Portraits,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects information in connection with the portrt platform and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
portrt is operated by Growing Portraits LLC under license from GRP Holding Incorporated.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
We may collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Platform, from connected third-party services, and through operational systems associated with the Platform.

If a user chooses to make a portrt, story, timeline, QR-linked experience, or other content publicly accessible, such content may:
The Company cannot guarantee the continued privacy, removal, or containment of publicly shared content once distributed beyond the Platform.
The Platform may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, session technologies, advertising technologies, and similar tracking systems.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Platform or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to the Platform and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
By using the Platform, you consent to receive:
You may opt out of certain promotional communications through available unsubscribe mechanisms, though operational or account-related communications may still be sent.

The Platform may allow users to securely connect their Google Account using Google’s OAuth authentication services in order to import supported content into their portrt account.
When you choose to connect your Google Account, we access only the information that you explicitly authorize through Google’s OAuth consent process and that is reasonably necessary to provide the import functionality you request.

Content that you choose to import from Google is copied into your portrt account and thereafter becomes part of your Platform content. Once imported, that content is governed by this Privacy Policy and the portrt Terms of Service.
Unless you explicitly authorize future synchronization or import features, the Platform does not continuously monitor, synchronize, or access your Google Account after the requested import has been completed.
Google account information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain your account connection, provide the services you request, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems.
You may disconnect your Google Account at any time through your account settings or by revoking the Platform’s access within your Google Account permissions.
You may also request deletion of your portrt account or imported content in accordance with the data retention and deletion practices described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. Certain information may temporarily remain in backups, logs, or archival systems where reasonably necessary for operational continuity, legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, or disaster recovery.
Growing Portraits’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Platform is also available through portrt mobile applications for iOS and Android (the "Mobile Applications"). The Mobile Applications display the Platform, so this Privacy Policy applies to your use of them. This section describes the additional information processed when you use the Mobile Applications.
If you allow notifications, your device receives a notification token from Apple Push Notification service (iOS) or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android). We store this token, your device platform and the Mobile Application version with your portrt account so we can send you notifications, such as new messages, replies, mentions, friend requests, followers, group invitations, requests to join your groups and form responses.
Notifications are delivered through Apple's and Google's services. They contain a short, general message (for example, "You have a new message"), a link to the related page on the Platform and, on iOS, an unread count for the app icon. They do not contain the content of your messages or posts.
You may turn off push notifications at any time in your portrt notification settings or in your device settings. We stop sending notifications to a device when you sign out of the Mobile Application on that device, and we delete your notification tokens when you delete your account.
The Mobile Applications send technical information to our service provider Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States) so we can find and fix problems, including:
This information does not include your name, email address, username or portrt account, and IP addresses are not stored with it. It is retained by Sentry for 30 days.
Some features of the Platform use artificial intelligence, including the NORA journaling assistant, voice journaling and voice-to-event. When you use them:
We share this information only to provide these features. Before you use them for the first time, we ask for your permission. If you choose "Not now", these features stay off and nothing is sent. You can turn AI features on or off at any time in Settings > Privacy, on the Platform or in the Mobile Applications.
The Mobile Applications ask for your permission before using the following features, and use them only when you choose to:
Photos and files you upload are selected by you through your device's picker. The Mobile Applications do not access the rest of your photo library. You may change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Users on free plans may see advertisements provided by Google AdSense. In the Mobile Applications, these advertisements are not personalized. Google may still use cookies to limit how often an advertisement is shown, for aggregated reporting and to prevent fraud. The Mobile Applications do not access your device's advertising identifier and do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Memberships and subscription plans are not available for purchase in the Mobile Applications. Existing memberships and plans purchased on the Platform remain available in the Mobile Applications. Orders for physical products placed through the Mobile Applications are processed through the Platform's standard checkout and handled as described under Payment and Commerce Information in Section 2.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete Account, in the Mobile Applications or on the Platform. Deleting your account permanently deletes your portrt account, your sign-in account, your profile, posts, messages, portraits, journals, voice recordings, photos and uploaded files, and your shop account. Records of completed orders and payments are kept for seven (7) years, as required for financial statements and United States tax purposes; personal details are then removed from them. If you cannot sign in, you may request deletion using the contact information in Section 16.
The Mobile Applications are intended for users who are at least thirteen (13) years of age, or the minimum legal age required in their jurisdiction, consistent with the Terms of Service.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to help protect information.

Certain Platform functionality requires server-side processing of content. Accordingly, content on the Platform may not be end-to-end encrypted.
